Reconstruction of the town spa in Male Svatonovice
Hlobilová, Lucie ; Špiller, Martin (referee) ; Guzdek, Adam (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis follows up on the architectural study created by me in the third year of the academic year 2019/2020 within the subject AG035 - Studio of Architectural Creation V - Restoration of Monuments. The content of this bachelor's thesis is the elaboration of a study to the level of documentation for a building permit and part of the documentation for the construction. The solved building was built in the first half of the 18th century. In 1930, a fire broke out in the village, including the town spa. The whole truss burned down, leaving only the perimeter walls. After 6 years of reconstruction, the building reopened to the public. There was a spa, hotel and inn. At present, there are doctors' surgeries, social flats, the Čapek Brothers Museum, public toilets, and a ceremonial hall. The main intention was to restore the late Baroque appearance of the building. The biggest construction intervention will be the removal of the third floor and the removal of the false mansard roof. It will be replaced by a hipped roof with a residential attic, as it was originally. Removing the existing roof structure will reduce the number of storyes, but the height of the building will remain almost the same. The new roof shape is hipped with a purlin truss system. All the original brickwork of the load-bearing interior and perimeter walls will be preserved. More modern extensions from the rear of the building and the internal partition will also be removed. The layout will be adjusted according to the function of the part of the building. Division of functional parts into city spas and short-term accommodation, Museum of the Čapek Brothers, ceremonial hall and part reserved for doctors. The external expression of the building dates back to the late Baroque period, according to historical photographs and postcards. The façade was restored to its original division in the form of a crown cornice, lysine, window shutters, corner reinforcement. The color

The object is situated on a slightly sloping land on the outskirts of the village Velké Karlovice. Part of the building is a garage for three cars. The main entrance is oriented towards the main street. Plan dimensions of the house are 9,5 × 25 m. Vertical constructions are made of ceramic bricks of Porotherm, ceiling construction is designed using technology of Spiroll. Stairs construction is a precast element. The building is roofed by saddle roof with purlins. Part of the thesis is a project documentation for a construction including constructional details, fire safety, thermal engineering and acoustic solutions. The project documentation had been eleborated in an AutoCAD program.

Thermal technical assessment of building structures
Paďouk, Jaroslav ; Janík, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kalousek, Miloš (advisor)
This theoretical diploma thesis deals with „nearly zero energy buildings“. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate building constructions based on their impact on thermal requirements fulfilment and apply results of the evaluation on a design of a nearly zero energy building. The thesis describes individual factors impacting energy consumption of a nearly zero house building, evaluates individual types of insulations systems for roof constructions, analyses window details, foundation details and connection of roof and external wall or the floor structure and external wall. The basic criteria for the evaluation is the fulfilment of the thermal requirements as well as the costs of the construction itself and energy consumption for the individual construction or detail. The specialized part of the thesis deals with design and comparison of 2 types of timber roof truss systems, the purlin roof and the collar roof. The suitability of the roof systems for nearly zero energy building is evaluated as well. The result of he thesis is the proposal of solutions for the nearly zero energy building. The proposal consists of layout solutions, design of suitable construction system, load-bearing system including drawings. The output is also Energy Performance Certificate.
The load bearing steel building structure of the gym for ball games
Bui, Trung Thanh ; Karmazínová, Marcela (referee) ; Melcher, Jindřich (advisor)
Work includes design of steel structure of the single- object sports hall , which is designed for sports activities around the city of Brno . Building plan dimensions are 30 x 48 m. The main structure is formed with the help of a planar cross ties . Crosslink forming trusses which are on both sides hinged on fixed columns . The main beam is made of trusses , which have an arch shape with the construction height max. 4 m composed of a single arc. Crosslinks are spaced 6 m . The spatial rigidity provides a system of longitudinal and transverse stiffeners . The structure is designed as a purlin . All the truss rods are tubular profile , the draft of which is made according to standards EN . The columns are made of rolled profiles HEB . As a material of bearing elements is steel class S235 .
Timber load bearing structure of a hotel building
Janči, Michal ; Šmak, Milan (referee) ; Straka, Bohumil (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with the design and assessment of the timber load bearing structure of a hotel building in Kouty nad Desnou, Jeseníky, at an altitude of 606 metres above sea level. The object has a rectangular shape with dimensions approximately 36x16m. The lower part of the structure is designed as a two-floor heavy frame and an attic. The columns are designed as swinging angles, and stiffening is solved by a set of bracings and struts. The roofing of the object is solved by purlin truss system with a triple vertical stool. The emphasis is placed on the use of commercially available timber beams. The sheathing of the structure will be solved by Fermacell gypsum boards.

Modelling of traditional timber roof trusses
Vitásková, Petra ; Brdečko,, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis "Modelling of traditional timber roof trusses," analyzes the behavior of traditional timber roof trusses. Based on the actual design of roof trusses beam computational models are created, individual structural elements are assessed on the first and second limit state and some connections are considered. For the analysis of planar and three-dimensional model FEM programme SCIA Engineer 2011.1 is used.
